Wisconsin Cheese Marketing Urged By Farmers Movement
An issue titled The Marketing of Wisconsin Cheese argues farmers should sell their own cheese rather than rely on cheese makers. It highlights Wisconsin’s rising cheese production from 79 million pounds in 1889 to 149 million in 1909, with 46.4 percent of U.S. cheese produced in Wisconsin by 1909. The bulletin details major cheese types and distribution patterns, noting Cheddar dominates two thirds of state production and large shipments go to Illinois, Missouri, and Texas.
