Sealed bids for constructing an eight concrete spillway with a reservoir on the water and light works ground will be received by 7 p.m. July 20 at the Water and Light Commission office in Marshfield Wisconsin. Bids must include a 10 percent certified check payable to the secretary of the water commission. Bids must be delivered to the superintendent. The commission may reject any bid.

The government will open about October 1 to settlement up to a million acres of rich western lands in Tripp County. The Rosebud extension of the Chicago North Western Ry is the sole line to these lands and tickets to Dallas are available near the reservation border. The U S Land office may be located there and free descriptive pamphlets are offered.
Wood County Wisconsin sheriff will sell at public auction the mortgaged premises described as the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section 36 in township 25 north range 3 east. The sale is set for September 2, 1908 at 10 o clock in the forenoon at the north door of Marshfield City Hall.
In the matter of the estate of Otto Back deceased Lotwerd Backhaus applies for administration. The court orders the time from the date of the order to December 4, 1008 for claim filing and examination. Creditors must present claims before the January term in Grand Rapids City Court.
