Buck Law Defeated by State Senate Postponement
Marshfield readers learn the so called buck law to permit killing a single buck deer per season and ban does was indefinitely postponed by the Wisconsin State Senate after heated debate. Opponents argued deer are already protected and that hunters may confuse bucks with does in woods. Northern members claim deer remain plentiful and current limits suffice as habitats shrink.
