Fourth of July Parade in Marshfield Celebrates with Band and Pageantry
A lively Fourth of July celebration in Marshfield drew crowds despite rain, with the Second Regiment Band delivering music along Central Avenue. The parade featured many floats from local companies, including Upham Manufacturing and John Gund Brewing, a field of sports events led by Ted Lindsley, and a later concert by the band. The day ended with a community gathering at the Episcopal hall for lemonade and ice cream, praised as a successful, well organized event.
