Inauguration Day Trip to Madison Report
A large party of prominent citizens left Marshfield on a special train to attend the inauguration of the new Wisconsin governor. Governor Upham, family, and many officials were greeted by crowds at Stevens Point Portage and Madison. The oath occurred without speeches, followed by a reception and ball at the university gym with extensive public attendance.
