Adam Long a Marshfield pioneer died last Thursday after a brief illness He was born in London England June 9 1828 came to America at nineteen settling in Twinsboro Ohio where he wed Elizabeth Heather in 1873 He later moved to Marshfield in 1882 and worked for Upham Manufacturing Co later devoted to floriculture He leaves two sons Frank A Long and H A Long two daughters Mrs Helen Derby and Miss Nora Lone and three grandchildren Mrs Long preceded him in death two years ago Funeral was held Sunday at 2 pm from his home with many old friends in attendance He was active in church and society and widely loved by the community.
