Town of Elm Lake formed from detached Wood County lands
The Wood County Board orders creation of the Town of Elm Lake by detaching sections from the Towns of Seneca and Port Edwards in Township 22 North Range 4 and 5 East. It outlines apportionment of indebtedness, asset credits, and authority to copy records from Port Edwards and Seneca. It sets a first town meeting at Damitz school on the first Tuesday in April 1891 and assigns governance terms and compliance.
