Corn and Dairy School At Grand Rapids Draws Praise
Attendees William Burbopp Hans Hansen and A Heintz joined the University of Agricultural School led program at Grand Rapids last week. The course offered practical instruction for farmers and sparked interest in bringing a similar session to Marshfield next year. A bankers corn exhibit drew attention and plans form for a future event. Also highlighted was the grand opening of the Cif fault Kawips Mercantile Company remodel with terra cotta front. The store doubled floor space and added a complete second story housing clothing pets rugs and toys. The event drew large crowds and praise for the new layout and displays.

Patrons dissatisfied with the Fitawil- Ham Lecture prompted Sup t W Otto to petition the Redpath bureau. The course will add a free extra number for ticket holders on March 25 with William A Colledge supplying the date. Colledge, famed author and traveler, once traveled with Stanley.

MacJane Appointed City Sealer of Weights and Measures
Alderman A. L. MacJane, successful competitor in a state civil service exam, was appointed city sealer by Mayor Connor. The annual salary is $150. The move follows broader efforts by cities to establish standard weights and measures, with Marshfield expected to benefit from the new standard administration.
