School District Purchases Block to Expand High School Site

The school board in official capacity bought from Wilhelm and wife Lob 1, Block 230, for $1,000. The site lies in the southwest corner of the block, the same block as the high school, and the purchase gives the district title to the entire block, expanding space and convenience for school use.

Conflagration Devastates Minneapolis Sawmills

A Sunday blaze in Minneapolis destroyed over a million dollars in property, sweeping most east side saw mills and yards plus several business houses. Two halves were lost and three people seriously injured. Arsonists attacked at two separate points.
