Workmen began clearing ruins at Hutteberg Veneer factory yesterday morning and plan a new, larger rebuilt plant. Insurers' adjusters met this week to settle losses. The new building will mirror the old size plus added space by removing heading machinery, with a full union roof and a faster construction pace.
Monday night closed the Livivs Travel Class season with a Burns program. Mrs. Elvis presided as members described Robert Burns life with lantern scenes and biographical excerpts, bringing to life abbeys, churches, and Burns revelry before serving refreshments.
General Secretary Campbell of Wausau and District Secretary H. W. Kolloga of Milwaukee attended gatherings at M. E. and Presbyterian churches. Local efforts may organize a 1 Y. M. L. A. with interest already shown, and observers expect seed sown to grow into a functioning organization.
Agent Williams of the Northwestern railroad announces transportation arrangements for the Barnum and Bailey show. The traveling circus will use 70 cars and travel routes via Vint Road, arriving from Warisau on July 6.
General orders No. and fining the dates for the four Wisconsin National Guard regiments to enter Camp Douglas were issued by Adjt. Gen. Boardman on Monday. Second Infantry goes in first with dates July 11 to 17, then July 18 to 34, August 1 to 7, and August 8 to 14 for Troops A and Battery A. Regiments will travel by special trains on Sundays, returning Sundays.

June events announced for Clarik county and Marsh field Ye era reunion. Maj McPherson of Yeetkind attended a G A HL dance last week and provided details. Spencer residents plan to host festivities with Grand Army men expected to attend and improved arrangements noted.
Chas Burpee of Weston and W Davis of Grantec in Clark County show how to winter fatten steers for Chicago markets. Davis shipped 26 head averaging 180 pounds at 1.20 dollars, Burpee 28 head at 4 dollars. Freight and commission about 40 cents a hundred. Gains since last fall about 300 pounds per head, with profits per head over 18 dollars. Both feed locally with hay, corn meal, or corn stalks, and regret selling in fall at low prices while hay costs rise.
