Secretary Welton plans contractor work for fair attractions and premium list. The program targets farmers with general-interest features kept, urging residents to spread word and non residents to attend. Officers emphasize press and posters plus talking up the event to build a debt-free profitable fair for Marshfield’s future as a state fair town.
Mrs C E Smith died after several months illness from pneumonia. The funeral was held at St Alban's mission church with Rev Wm D officiating. Eastern Star choir and Masonic lodge pallbearers attended. Interment followed at Stevens Point. She is survived by husband Lumbers man Charles E Smith and two children Gladys and Palmer.
R Danner of Marshfield is the inventor and patentee of a hay rake featuring an automatic foot lever to lift and drop the rake with controlled elevation. The device prevents pawl wear, lets the rake drop at will, and includes a treadle to hold it while collecting loads along with adjustable tooth height.

Robert Morris captured a large plurality for county superintendent in Wood County with 1,524 votes to 853 for Torphy. Total votes cast were 2,382 as Marshfield and Grand Rapids did not vote. Judge Conway received 2,964 votes for county judge while Winslow won 2,939 for supreme court justice.
Ex Gov W H Uphem reveals the former schoolhouse office must display the national flag by law for all schoolhouses. The flag presented by the office staff will be raised on a staff at the building’s highest point.
