Marshfield Fire Officers Elected and Church Farewell

The Marshfield Fire Department held adjourned elections for officers with John A. Hoffman reappointed chief and E E Finney elected assistant chief. Lacy Gwin and William A. Sexton were reappointed secretary and treasurer. Officers for Hose Companies and the hook and ladder company were chosen, while Rev. George L. Sens plans his final sermon before leaving the Evangelical church.

Ebbe and Thompson Buy Nekoosa Warehouse Complex

Ebbe & Thompson, an enterprising produce firm, have purchased the Tiffault Kamps Mercantile companys large warehouse in Nekoosa now occupied by the Wisconsin Central. They plan two additions and a time house on the east side, with a commodious office on the west end, and will provide comfortable quarters for their staff shortly.

Hume Office Enlarged Plans for New Front and Expanded Spaces

Attorneys W A and E B C Pors move this week into rooms once used by Dr K W Doege in the Muzne p building second story. The land office will occupy the entire first floor, with Hume rearranging and improving offices. Space increase promises one of the finest city offices with ample room for each department.

COUNTY TEACHERS MEET IN WOOD COUNTY APRIL 18 19

The Wood County Teachers association holds its second annual meeting in the new high school in this city on April 18 and 19 with many county teachers expected to attend. Officers include President J B Borden Kate McKercher and Mantie Malloy, with Otto J Ley and others guiding the event. Most schools will close Friday to replace the spring institute, and a two day program covers talks and discussions on schoolwork and educational advancement.

Steam Laundry Moves to New Marshfield Plant on Sixth Street

Steam Laundry proprietors Leahy and Wrecht secure Bauer Bros building on Sixth street west of Central Avenue and plan moving their plant next week. They will remodel and equip it with up to date laundry appliances. Office will be on the avenue east of the plant. John Firschner buys the current Fourth and Cherry street building and will open a meat market once the laundry vacates.

Forester Team Ball at Baumann's Hall May 2

The Forester team of the Modern Woodmen of America plans a grand ball at Baumann's hall on Friday evening May 2. Gasper's orchestra provides music with Andrew Moss as floor manager. Admission is fifty cents per couple.
