Reverend Arthur W. Miles of the Congregational church will begin his annual vacation on the last Sunday in July and be off duty for six weeks. He plans a pilgrimage to the far west and a portion of the time in northern Illinois. Miss Hite has already left on her vacation. Remaining quartet members Miss Nitsche Frank Cole and Mr. Firmin will also take August vacations.
On Wednesday evening at Johnson's Hall the Penese Seminole Tribe No 23 installed officers led by Earl Chamberlain of Lebanon. Frank Davidson became Sachem, Carroll Clem Senior Sagamore, Wa Shade Junior Sagamore, and James Dunn Prophet, with Chamberlain delivering an address of interest to the craft.
The monthly Treasury statement shows the money stock in the United States at 33.406 billion dollars, with 3.113 billion held as government assets and a per capita figure of 88.926.

Mrs Mamie Pearl Wyrick of Anderson township born April 12 1887 died June 28 1900 valued by all who knew her. Daughter of Enoch and Mrs Wyrick. Funeral held at Ohio church conducted by L G Fasig on June 29 with burial in Ohio cemetery.
The Vandalia Railroad company has installed a new railroad scale at West Terre Haute weighing carloads of coal brick and tile from local factories and mines. A scale house has been erected and the scales will be used to weigh loads previously sent to Terre Haute for weighing.
The Pythian Theatre presents Thursday Friday and Saturday nights of moving pictures and illustrated songs with Miss Hite singing one song each evening. Saturday features two reels and three shows for 5 cents. Frankfort High School principal Howard Craig visits to spend vacation with his parents and discuss a coming year at Frankfort with higher pay.
