Walter Cole Dead After Long Public Service
Walter Cole died at the hospital and his body was brought to his home on Wednesday evening. He was the eldest son of DeLance and Amanda Sutton Cole born in the city five years ago and active in promoting his native city. His last public work was aiding the new Congregational church. A staunch Republican he served one term in Illinois House. Survived by wife, one daughter, and his mother. Funeral Friday at 2 o clock from the North 8th Street residence conducted by Rev. Arthur W. Miles. Burial in Marshall cemetery.
