Town Trustees Conduct January Session and Public Notices
The Marshall town trustees met at the courthouse on Monday evening January 4 with Dr James C Bryan elected trustee and sworn in. Committees were named for ordinances finances improvements and public accounts. Bills and allowances were approved and sidewalk work authorized while saloon licenses were to be enforced. A county Democratic Executive Committee meeting is announced for January 9 1809 at the Marshall office. Also tributes of respect from Martinsville lodge No 1343 O O F note the death of I L Curtis with mourning attire and copies to family and newspapers.
