Fowls Lost in Mississippi Cargo Ring Returns to City
Sutton and Legoto ferried a cargo of fowls to New Orleans and lay on a Mississippi sandbar for ten or twelve days. They suffered heavy losses, estimated at 400 dollars, with many chickens and turkeys dead. A stranger named Con lordect John died at Andrew Johnsons near the city on the first of the month.
