Circuit Court Opens April Term in Clark County
The Clark Circuit Court began the April Term on Monday 26 with Judge Decius on the bench. Lawyers from near and far attended including Hon. O B Ficklin, Hon J C Allen, J P Cooper, and G Hunt. Powell of Wabash Township was convicted of stealing a watch and sentenced to 18 months in the Penitentiary. The notable People vs Ambrose burglary trial ended in acquittal despite strong circumstantial evidence. the defense by J W Wilkin impressed the jury. Next week full proceedings will be reported.
