She was born October 7, 1839 in Auburn township and married Dr. Samuel Gilbert on August 26, 1856 in Clark county. Survived by two sons John W. and George A. Gilbert and three daughters Funice Lamdata Gilbert, Mrs Anes B Blacker and others. She was known for Christian work and her gentle character endearment to a large circle of friends.
