The Clark County Homemakers Extension seeks participants from 15 units to learn better time management and homemaking through education. Financed by federal state and local dues, the program helps solve family and community issues with guidance from home economists and the home adviser. Illinois Trade Mission Contacts James Jones in France

James Jones of Marshall, former resident, was contacted by Temple Lovett and sixty-three mission members in Paris to discuss keeping Goldwater out of the White House and hunting, and to negotiate the sale of Jones’s Marshall home and his manuscript From Here to Eternity. The Farm Bureau Mission has toured England, Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain, aims to conclude by November 2, and has engaged nine European Lions Clubs with tourism literature on display in visited countries.

Melrose Rally Draws Large Crowd

A large crowd gathered in Melrose for a longtime Republican rally. The event featured a decorated 60 foot pole with political signs and included remarks by Jack Schafer on behalf of Wayne S Jones as well as Paul Graham and John Lewis. Local GOP leaders Lowell E Bennett and Vern Davison were present. Refreshments were served.

Eck Stevens Wedding At Grace Lutheran Paris Illinois

The marriage of Miss Patricia Eck and Joseph P Stevens was solemnized at Grace Lutheran Church in Paris Illinois on Sunday October 25. A reception followed at the church. Deaths of Mrs Clara Routledge and Clarence Wright noted

Mrs Clara Routledge died Thursday night at her Marshall home aged 84 with two sons Reed Dennison and Leland and two daughters Iris Graham and Garnet McGee among surviving relatives including three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were held at Moore Funeral Home with burial in Marshall cemetery. Clarence Wright aged 46 of Gamer Arkansas died Wednesday evening. funeral and burial planned in Arkansas.

Stepp Wallace Wedding Engagment Announced

U O I Town and Country Art Exhibition Opens

The University of Illinois Architecture Building Gallery in Urbana hosts the Town and Country art exhibition. Ninety six amateur artists from thirty eight Illinois counties entered one hundred eight works. The show runs through October 31 with hours listed for Sundays weekdays and Saturdays.
