The third annual Hallowe en frolic will be held on Marshall streets Saturday night October 31 with an 8 00 PM grand parade led by the Marshall Chamber of Commerce band Cash prizes total twenty one dollars and include awards for most original masked man or woman best masked couple and other categories for youths and adults including national themed costumes.

Two Marshall Businessmen In Wreck Tuesday
John Noland and John Bush were in a smashup on Tuesday evening near the state line east of Marshall. A Ford roadster returning from Terre Haute collided with a Ford coupe carrying a Terre Haute man and his wife. Both cars sustained damage and occupants suffered only minor scratches. Westfield Man Arrested on Assault Charge

Three Sales Bring Good Results At County Auction
The Kesler Bros cattle sale of Keifers Saturday yielded Jersey yearling heifers averaging 38 dollars a head. B. G. Whitlock's sale drew solid prices for many items. The B. M. Davison sale Tuesday totaled 2898 dollars and 85 cents. Hogs averaged about 150 pounds at eighteen dollars and seventy-five cents per head. A young gelding sold for one hundred dollars to Justin Harlan. Forty tons of alfalfa hay sold at nineteen dollars and thirty cents per ton, with top bids near nineteen fifty. Most cattle, mainly Herefords, went to the Valence Packing Company at Terre Haute for higher returns than shipping would have brought.

Car Wreck at Night Leaves Welch's Ford Damaged
At about 12 o'clock Monday night Glenn Welch driving a Ford roadster collided with a northbound Ford truck with Indiana plates at a highway intersection. The truck rolled over, top and windshield damaged. Welch's car had two burst tires. No serious injuries. The truck went to Machlan's garage for repairs and Welch paid $15 in damages to the strangers.
