Mrs Davison aged about 90 is gravely ill after a fall that fractured her hip on October 11. She lives in Clark County and is surrounded by her sons Mont Charles George Davey and John while Lyman her deceased son is noted. Earl R Taubeneck of Neodesha Kansas married Jessie A Sharp at the bride’s home with Rev H J Withington presiding. Jessie Sharp is a local former teacher in Neodesha who studied at Central College Lexington Missouri and Columbia University. Taubeneck is a Neodesha instructor and former Illinois football player who served in the 33rd Squadron of the Air Service. Mart Deem Killed in Casey Train Crash
Mart W. Deem noted Clark county oil driller and Casey resident died instantly when a northbound Pennsylvania train struck the cars he rode in near Anderson Indiana. Mrs R O Jackson of Casey also perished. another Indianapolis woman survived briefly. Deem reportedly ignored a warning flag as he attempted to beat the train. Funeral services for Deem were held at his Casey home conducted by the I C O F. Mrs Jackson's funeral set at her father's Casey home.
