Otto Gray and his Oklahoma Cowboy Band of Stillwater Oklahoma will appear at the Pythian Theatre in Marshall tomorrow night. Leon H Cox, theatre manager, says the group comes direct from radio stations KVOO Tulsa and KMOX St Louis where they are staff artists known to radio fans. They broadcast regularly and hold records for Ohio and Oklahoma, enroute to Cincinnati for November broadcasts.

Mrs. Elizabeth I Payne aged 66 died at her Terre Haute home at 7 40 am Tuesday. She is survived by husband James W a son Orup a brother L N Jones of Auburn Ind and a sister Phebe Hull of Martinsville. Formerly Lizzie Jones of Martinsville she is mourned by friends in that area. Funeral services were held at the residence at 2 00 pm yesterday afternoon with burial in Highland Lawn Cemetery.

Robert Pettigrew leads the Danville Consistory Band of 45 pieces in a 90 minute show on the courthouse yard bandstand Sunday afternoon. Washington October 17 Representative William P Holaday of Danville successor to Uncle Joe Cannon's seat in Congress has been appointed by Chairman Madden of the House appropriations to a subcommittee on the District budget. He has begun a personal mission to study the entire District government to advise on all matters of appropriation for the National Capital.
Miss Margaret Clay of Byng Inlet Ontario and Burns Dixon of Marshall were married at the bride's aunt's home in Paris. Rev W E Anderson officiated. The bride wore beige crepe and carried bridal roses. attendants were Miss Marion McCalmont and William Dixon. The couple will reside in Sterling.

Charles A. Shuey of Charleston won the special judicial election in the fifth district over Oliver D. Mann of Danville. Shuey carried Clark, Edgar Vermilion, Coles, and Cumberland counties with large margins, totaling over four thousand votes district wide despite light turnout. Clark precincts showed a substantial advantage for Shuey.
A horse owned by Milo Claypool was killed after a Chrysler sedan struck the wagon east of Marshall near Livingston on Thursday. The car, driven by Frank Johnson, 21, with an older man and a Black passenger, fled after baggage was removed. Johnson was jailed, then released. the car remains held at Sockler's garage.
Walter H. Brewer of Terre Haute son of Henry Brewer of Mt. Carmel and Irene Prévo daughter of Albert Prevo of Darwin were quietly married Saturday at the home of Rev. Moore in Terre Haute.
W. D. Phillips of Danville was jailed Wednesday night by Sheriff Harry Coldren after being found driving a car around town without lights. Danville authorities were summoned yesterday to probe the case.
Miss Hezel W. Bandy of Brocton and Walter B. Clapp of Brocton wed in St. James M E church Danville in a 10 oclock Friday ceremony officiated by Rev T Shouse with Miss Ethel Connor and C C Bandy as attendants. The bride wore old rose and carried roses. traveling dress was navy. They depart for Chicago for a honeymoon and will live in Brocton where Clapp publishes the Brocton Review.
