Marshall High Homecoming Parade Planned This Afternoon

The Marshall high school student council sponsors a 1964 homecoming parade at 2 30 p m with 13 floats from freshman to senior classes and clubs. Miss Jeanne Forsythe, homecoming queen, rides a special float with attendants. prizes include a trophy and 20 dollars in three divisions.

Ben Harris Speaks for Goldwater in Paris Event

Republican Rally invites Clark County voters to Melrose

Clark County voters are invited to a Republican rally at Melrose on Monday October 26 at 700 pm. Attendees will meet the candidates and hear the issues as part of the campaign. Free coffee and doughnuts offered. Airman Arthur W Hollenbeck completes first phase of Air Force basic training at Lackland AFB Texas. He is selected for technical training as an aircraft equipment repairman at Chanute ATC school. He is a Marshall High School graduate and former Eastern Illinois University student.

Arizona High School Senior John Hilton Killed in Deer Collision

John Hilton a high school senior and local minister was killed Tuesday when his car struck a deer while returning home in Arizona. He is survived by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Montgomery of Marshall who traveled to Arizona for his funeral.

Thirty Clark county retired teachers gathered October 8 at Rex Cafe in Casey for a Swiss Steak noon meal. President Homer Hendrix led a brief business meeting as by laws were approved. Banks Back CROP Dinner Kickoff at Methodist Church

On Thursday evening October 22 bankers will host the kick off dinner for CROP workers and their wives at the Methodist Church.
