Death of George W. Sweitzer Reported in Walnut Prairie
The body of George William Sweitzer of Walnut Prairie was found along the Big Four road last Thursday. Coroner James ruled death from leakage of the heart at age 55. He leaves a wife and a daughter. Funeral services were conducted Saturday by Rev. Stephens at the Walnut Prairie church, with burial in Ziegler cemetery.

Isaac Bell of Marshall, once a local photographer, claims a depth bomb device can destroy German submarines up to 126 yards away. The simple system uses a line reel to set depth and a jerk to trigger the explosion. Abram Harrison a well known York township resident was found dead in his bed Monday morning. Coroner's verdict cites heart disease. Born June 29 1840 in Clark county he served in the First Missouri Cavalry and was a Civil engineer and farmer with a daughter Mrs J S Mundy.
