The Board of Local Improvements of Marshall Indiana awarded a contract for Hickory Street sewer work on Second to Eighth streets. The project governs vitrified pipe sewer, catch basins, curbing, and necessary appurtenances under Local Improvement Ordinance No. 7.

In Edgar county circuit court Judge Kimbrough ruled for 1700 dollars plus costs in favor of James J. Robinson of this city against John F. Robinson the circus magnate.
Cecile Rogers, a 16 year old girl living near Oliver, vanished from her home Monday afternoon. Neighbors reported she visited a nearby home and did not return. Search parties scoured the area all day yesterday but found no trace of her.
Mrs Dora Belle Houston wife of Robert Houston died at her home in Terre Haute yesterday. The body will be taken to Livingston for burial tomorrow.

A 65 year old Livingston resident collapsed while raking leaves in her yard and died Saturday morning. Paralyzed, she never revived and died about 10 o clock. She is survived by two sons and a daughter. Funeral services scheduled pending arrival of relatives.
Clark county voters backed Republicans in yesterdays election with large margins. Sheriff seat moved to Galatin by 510 votes while Snagely won judge with 280 and Miller led the legislature by 1500. Marshall’s Hollenbeck and Poorman also favored GOP apart from Democrats in Mattoon and Casey.
