Moor Wife Killer Granted Parole After Murder Conviction

Hubert C. Moor, now 57, killed his wife on a car trip near Robinson in August 1932 while she slept. He was sentenced to death, then life imprisonment after appeals. paroled during the October term of Illinois Board of Pardons and Paroles following his confession and earlier attempted alibi.

Marshall Area Tragedy Claims Four in Collision

Emmett Johnson 39 and Frances Johnson 37 die after a Saturday morning crash eight miles east of Marshall. Their daughter Nancy Rue 15 dies at hospital while another daughter Judy Kay 12 is seriously injured. Driver Robert Craig of Marshall survives. Funeral arrangements follow.

Baptist Minister Suffers Heart Attack After Anniversary Service

Rev. W. A. Fuson of Terre Haute delivered the sermon at the Clarksville Baptist church 100th anniversary homecoming. He suffered a heart attack after the morning session closed and was taken to Union Hospital Terre Haute. Last reports indicated he was in care.

Light attack sends Mrs Belle Garver to Union Hospital

Mrs Belle Garver of 408 Pine Street Marshall suffered a light heart attack Monday afternoon and was taken by Marrs ambulance to Union Hospital Terre Haute for treatment. Dr R L Davison, a patient at Union Hospital Terre Haute for several days, is expected to be returned home at 1:30 today Friday.

Service Manager Moving to Pekin Illinois

Lawrence Martin and his family will move to Pekin Illinois where he becomes manager of the Tatwell Service Company. He has headed Clark Service Company in Marshall for six and a half years and will start duties December 1. The Clark board also hired Carl Brush from Tazewell County as next manager. Brush is a University of Illinois graduate in agriculture with teaching and farm adviser experience.

The Marshall Community Unit School District schedules Education Week November 10 to 16 with a Veterans Day holiday on November 11. Clark County Students Among 3445 Enrolled At Indiana State

Forty six Clark County residents are among 3,445 students enrolled for fall at Indiana State Teachers College Terre Haute. The fall total marks the college’s largest in 87 years, up six and a half percent from last year’s 3,202, with undergraduate enrollment up 85 percent since 1953.

International Livestock Exposition Features Set At Chicago
