Death of Mrs Smock in Arcola records
Mrs John Smock died at the family home last Saturday morning after two years of poor health from a cancerous breast growth. Funeral was held Sunday at the residence. Maiden name Minnie Marcell a Hunt, daughter of W G Hunt. Born in Clark county in 1864, she came to Arcola at age eleven and married George Dimond in 1887, who preceded her, then wed Mr Smock a year and two weeks ago.
