Woman declines jail release after 60 day sentence
Dora Ewell of Hume finished a 60 day term and was offered liberty by Sheriff Size but she refused to leave jail saying she had never been treated better. She allegedly altered a marriage certificate to show marriage to James Howerton with whom she had been living. Howerton’s sentence ended a week earlier and he left Paris for Marshall by train.
