Monument to George Rogers Clark completed for unveiling

The Clark Monument in Quincy, Illinois, sculpted by Charles J. Mulligan of Chicago, is finished and awaiting its unveiling on May 12. The bronze statue atop a 20 foot granite monolith stands on a 260 foot high overlook of the Mississippi Valley, with a new park tract purchased by Quincy park commissioners to join the city’s park system.
