Fred and Fenton Cooper of Wabash township enlisted in the army at Terre Haute last Saturday. Roy Morecraft broke both bones of his right arm above the wrist while cranking a Ford. Warren Bailey near McKeen shot himself in the left arm with a 22 caliber pistol yesterday. State's Attorney Clements faced a curious incident near Casey when a pedestrian flagged his car and claimed to ride. Sesquicentennial plans outlined for county areas in 1968
Plans for the Missouri state sesquicentennial year 1968 are under way in Casey Martinsville Westfield West Union and Marshall with details to follow. Bronze and silver 150th anniversary medallions will be sold at local banks in July. A car accident claimed the life of Dean Bartlett Dennis while returning to base from a Tokyo Germany mission. He is survived by his parents Paul and Deborah Dennis of Feoria Missouri and his grandparents Rondel and Willow Springs residents. Funeral services were held June 28 with burial soon after.

Promotion to Specialist Fifth Class at Ryukyu
