He married Sarah Porter in 1864 who died recently They had no children but reared three daughters Mrs Randell of St Elmo Mrs Davidson of Marshall and Mrs Bennett of Mattoon He was a veteran of the 79th Illinois Regiment and a GAR member. He is survived by two nieces two nephews three foster children and many friends.
Miss Thelma E. Dodson, niece of Mr and Mrs H L Steel, wed Lieut McKin ley J Bohannon Friday at 214 South Fifth Street Bloomington Indiana Rev L Smith of First Christian Church officiated. The couple left for a short trip then plan to join him at Camp Jackson South Carolina with Mrs Bohannon to follow. Dodson taught at Marshall High School last year in commercial studies. A marriage license was issued in Paris Friday to Perry Mullen and Palmyra Lamb of Casey.
