Trust Case Affirmed in Ohio Oil Co Lands Dispute

The Ohio Oil Co case against E B Adams N P Daugettee and others was affirmed by the state supreme court. The decree dismissed the oil company bill and canceled the lease on trust lands, enjoining further operations. Daugettee, as trustee, had leased lands to Hoblitzell & Co. which included trust lands, later assigned to the Ohio Oil Co. The court ruled Daugettee had no power to lease for oil, and the trust beneficiaries suffered a harm warranting the ruling.
