First Band Concert Opens Season At Marshall Tourist Camp
The Marshall Chamber of Commerce hosts the season opener with a 35 member Marshall band at the tourist camp on Michigan avenue starting 8 p.m. Free picnic grounds and refreshments will be sold by locals. Camp attracts 8 to 10 nightly visitors and 300 cars this year.

Truck And Roadster Wreck On Main Street
J A Carr of Hamilton Ohio tourist on his way to Arkansas collided with Robert Findley's truck at Seventh and Main Tuesday afternoon. Carr's Buick roadster suffered little damage but the truck lost a wheel and its cab glass was shattered. Owen Walker riding with Findley was shaken but uninjured. Carr was arrested and fined six dollars plus costs in Squire Craigs court for speeding.

Boy Is Hurt After Horse Kick to Left Eye
Junior Litton three years old son of Mr and Mrs H Litton of Paris formerly of this city suffered a painful injury when kicked by a horse owned by his grandfather Will Devers. The left eye wound required four stitches and the unshod horse likely saved his life.

Rum Runners Caught After Pursuit Near Livingston
Louis Garner and George Lewis, both about 23 and from Indianapolis, were pursued and captured by Sheriff Turner and Deputy Harry Coldren near Livingston. A car carrying 40 gallons of grain alcohol was found, and the men fired on during escape. They were brought to the county hotel after being shot at. Information came from a Cumberland county scout to States Attorney Everett Connelly.
