Our annual inventory shows five departments containing slow sellers and discontinued lines. Four book lots include 13 titles at 10c each 12 titles at 25c and 33 titles at 39c with a final lot of 6 books at 50c. Also offered are about 50 die stamped initial letter tablets 10c each with initials A C D E F G J K M N P R T W on linen paper.
From our Dry Goods Dept about three dozen bottles of Bixby tan shoe polish with cleaner and paste. Now 5c after usual 10c. Also 20 Mule Team borax 2 lb for 5c and 1 lb for 10c. Prices good while stock lasts. other two departments Candy and Toy missing stickers.
Miss Sarah Bartlett writes from St Augustine Florida about narrow streets brick and stone houses and noisy autos. She describes the old slave market fountain of Youth lover’s Lane and an antique chair with marriage hopes. She notes a Presbyterian church beach scenes fortifications and a future trip to PaLatka and St Cloud with local ads and notices at end.
Letters by Mr. Bell claim an innocent man was killed to avenge Lincoln and that the real assassin died by suicide. Bell lectures in Memphis as he presents circumstantial evidence in a controversial theory gaining traction in the South.
