Housewives Learn More About Home Safety in Chicago
Chicago. The National Safety Council reports housewives are increasingly educated on home safety but fatal accidents will rise about 8 percent this year from 33,700 last year to around 35,000. The kitchen remains the most dangerous room, though bathrooms are safer. Children under five and the elderly drive the rise, while men incur many home injuries though they spend less time at home.

Administration warns veterans to repay overpayments
The Veterans Administration demands repayment of subsistence overpayments for education or training. If veterans owe and later claim unemployment or self employment benefits, the amounts will be deducted from future checks. State agencies will recover past overpayments through cross checks with VA offices and a central control in New York City. Those who arranged repayment remain in good standing and unaffected by the policy.
