Illinois Brucellosis Laws Expand Testing and Slaughter Rules
Illinois enacts three brucellosis laws. Dairy and breeding cattle must be tested upon request and participate in eradication plans by July 1, 1957. Milk sales require cooperation with eradication. Grade A milk faces similar deadlines. Swine breeding sales require brucellosis certificates within 60 days of sale or service, with reactors tagged and restricted to slaughter.
