Survived by widow Helen. daughter RM Viel Lehman Plessant. son Homer. three brothers and a sister. many relatives. He served as Clark County sheriff and Marshall mayor. coroner in 1964. member of Marshall Masonic lodge and church trustee. funeral at Marrs Funeral Home and Marshall Christian Church. Burial in Marshall cemetery.

Fenton Forsythe former Clark County deputy circuit clerk died in Chicago Tuesday afternoon from a heart attack. He was 50. A past commander of Clark County Post 90 American Legion, he served as a Pullman conductor on the Rock Inland railroad and belonged to the Masonic Lodge. Survived by widow Jared, daughter Mia Ruth Robinson, and two sisters, with services set for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at home in Marshall, burial in Forsythe cemetery conducted by Marathon Masonic Lodge No. 188 A F & A M.

Major McNary Heads ROTC at Middle Tennessee State College
Major Quentin Lowery McNary of Marshall Tennessee has taken over as Professor of Military Science at Middle Tennessee State College. A 1941 graduate, he served in World War II and Korea, earning the Silver Star and Bronze Star with two clusters, among other decorations. He is married to Dorothy Maxine Brill and they have three children.
