Annual Meeting of Clark County Farm Bureau and Clark Service Co

The Clark County Farm Bureau and the Clark Service Company will hold a joint annual meeting next Friday February 17 at Marshall High School. The session begins at 6 30 pm with Reverend Charles H Willey of First Christian Church Moline Illinois as speaker and entertainment by Red Blanchard and others from WLS Chicago. Each department will report on the past year’s business transactions.

Marshall Woman's Club Valentine Tea Featured Syrian Speaker

On February 13 the Marshall Woman's Club hosts its annual Valentine Tea at the Methodist church. Guest speaker Miss Haifa Corey of Syria will discuss My Homeland a Woman's view point. Corey attends Indiana State Teachers College in Terre Haute. Junior Women's Club Meeting Recaps Plans and Donations

Members met February 6 at the high school with president Connie Richardson presiding. They discussed federation projects and a March 8 card party at Legion Hall, agreed to donate 15 to heart cancer and polio foundations, learned first aid from Virginia Smitley, and viewed posture exercises by Agnes Welsh. Thirty members attended refreshments afterward.

Eagle Scout Keith Miller Receives Top Honor

Keith Miller was awarded the Eagle Scout medal at a First Methodist church service with Art Freudenberg of the Wabash Valley Council presenting. The ceremony highlighted nearly four years of community and camping work and 21 merit badges. Keith attended Camporees, the 1953 National Scout Jamboree in California, and six weeks of junior leader training at Philmont in New Mexico. He serves as junior assistant scoutmaster of Troop 81.
