Marshall Man Killed in Houston Bus Accident
Robert Eugene Kemp a Marshall resident was fatally injured in a Saturday cycle accident in Houston Texas. He served in the Navy in World War II and worked for the Houston Transit Bus Company. He arrived from Terre Haute with his body Tuesday and services were held Thursday at First Methodist Church with burial in Marshall cemetery. He is survived by his parents and three brothers Joe Harry and Charles.

Dayton Hospital Patient Recovering From Appendectomy
In Dayton Ohio Good Samaritan Hospital receives Duane Bland of Fairborn Ohio after an appendectomy. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Russell Bland and grandson of Mrs Clark Irwin of Dennison. Earlier a loose dog chased a possum toward the Somerville home at 809 Ash Street where the animal climbed onto the roof and stayed through the day.

Marshall youths injured in traffic mishap near Auburn
Alfred Bennett eighteen and Mary Cline were side by side on Archer Avenue near Ralph George Gas Station last Friday evening. They tried to pass a truck when a rough pavement caused their car to bounce and hit another vehicle driven by Dickie Smitley of Marshall. Bennett suffered a fractured skull and Miss Cline an injured collar bone. both were hospitalized at Union Hospital Terre Haute.
