Rev Nimrod J Platz former pastor of the Evangelical church of Marshall died Wednesday night at his Olney home after more than two months illness from complications of an ulcerated tooth. Funeral services were held in Olney and the body was brought to Marshall for interment with brief cemetery rites. He was born Chicago Sep 25 1851 and married Elizabeth Daween in 1898. six children were born, five living. He leaves a sister and four brothers. He served 25 years as a minister, retired in 1960 due to failing wealth, and later filled appointments in retirement. He was a fluent speaker and trusted figure in the community.
