The Marshall tribe of Red Men held its annual rabbit supper in their hall Monday night serving about 60 rabbits with oyster dressing and coffee to roughly 125 Red Men. Visitors came from Martinsville West Union and Terre Haute. Dr Haslett was noted as the champion rabbit eater. Seven applicants received the first degree after the meal.

RIFLED MAIL POUCH ROBBERY INVOLVES GARRETT CONFESSION
A registered mail pouch due at 4:45 am on Vandalia train No 6 disappeared Thursday. It was found rifled in a cornfield. Charles Sullins identified two watches sold by Roy Garrett in Terre Haute. Garrett confessed after police tied him to the theft. Godden was later exonerated and released. Garrett and Godden faced hearings in Paris. Garrett was sent to Danville.
