County Board Approves Bonds and Sets Poor Farm Bid
The board of supervisors met on December 12 and approved bonds for county clerk William T. Martin Jr. for 10,000 dollars and Arthur M. Tarman for 90,000 dollars as treasurer and assessor supervisor. The committee on poor reported one bid from John Cole offering to keep the poor at the poor farm for 2 dollars per week per person and recommended awarding the contract for the coming year.
