B F Holscher superintendent of County schools returned to Marshall from Olney where he assisted picking packing and shipping 3000 bushels of Elberta peaches from a 40 acre orchard owned by Mrs Holscher and Mrs Eichin This is their first sizable crop after last year’s 800 bushels Some peaches went by train to St Louis Cincinnati and Indianapolis others by truck to northern Illinois especially Gibson City

S Mitnik and George King, Mellon Construction Co workers, were fined 3.00 each plus costs 12.50 total after pleading guilty to intoxication in Squire Jay Swern's court on Wednesday. They allegedly fought J M Turner near Dennison on Marshall Friday. Turner overpowered them and they were jailed until their guilty plea and fines were paid.

Urbana Illinois August 28 Farmers with three or more years in a dairy herd improvement association earned 25.56 more above feed costs per cow last year compared with one year only. Two year testers gained 10.61 more per cow. three plus years produced 33 pounds more fat annually. Approximately 63 percent of cows tested were grades or unclassified, Holsteins 61 percent, Jerseys 18 percent, Guernseys 15 percent, Brown Swiss and Short horns about 6 percent each.
