Standard Oil to Build 690 Mile Pipe Line to Seaboard
The Standard Oil Co will construct a new 12 inch pipe line from Crawford county to McLean county Pennsylvania. The order for pipe line equipment is the largest in history with National Tube Co. The $5 million ditching and laying cost plus pumps and stations will push total expense higher. The line will span at least 690 miles with stations every 25 miles in hilly terrain and farther apart on level sections.
