A Spiketown reunion drew several hundred residents and visitors from across the county. Boys Held Under Suspect in Casey Case
Two youths claiming St Louis roots but from Elgin were arrested in Casey Monday after leaving Martinsville without paying for gas and shifting to another stop for a new inner tube. Sheriff Durner brought them to Marshall. they pleaded guilty and were fined fifteen dollars plus costs and now rest in county jail. They argued they had not eaten since Friday and are being fed at taxpayers expense.

Mary O Rourke Madden age 69 died at her north Marshall home last Wednesday. Funeral Thursday at St Marys Church, burial in St Marys Cemetery. Jos Benjamin Steven Dulaney age 4 months died at his Oliver home last Monday. Funeral held at the house, burial in Livingston Cemetery. Mr and Mrs F Hutchinson left Monday for a week trip through Iowa visiting their old Manchester Iowa home.

Short Locates Lost Car Near Big Four Station
Policeman Charles Short found an abandoned car on the National highway east of the Big Four station and brought it to town. Earl Miller of Black Hawk Indiana retrieved the car Friday and left Short a box of cigars and some money. Thieves were not identified.

Louis Ruben a 44 year old Marshall junk dealer shot himself in his West Main Street office Thursday morning and died about two hours later. Financial troubles and illness were believed to cause the act. Born in Vitebsk Russia in 1906 he moved to Marshall from Robinson seven years ago and lived alone. He was taken to his sister’s home in Terre Haute where the funeral was held Friday afternoon.
