The Spiketown homecoming for the boys and girls of twenty years ago drew nearly 100 alumni to the old church last Sunday. Mrs Ola Tingley chaired the gathering with remarks by Jacob Metz the former superintendent, Emma German read an article listing former residents, and Eleanor Gage of Danville and Naomi Wise of Lake Ohio gave recitations. A business session elected Emma German presiding secretary and Cora Morris secretary for next year as old friends renewed memories and greeted former classmates.

Prison Break In A Ward Of The Jail
Two young prisoners Fred Turner and Harvey Lawson escaped from a jail corridor on Wednesday afternoon by crawling through a ceiling hole and lowering onto the street door with a shoe buttoner.
