Survivors include his widow five children seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. A lifelong Illinois resident he became paralyzed in 1906 and remained unable to walk or talk, greeting friends with a handshake and smile. Funeral conducted by Rev. Robert Griffin at the South 6th Street home, burial in Marshall cemetery.
