Clark County board met in special session April 18 with full attendance. John Thompson elected chairman for the coming year and committees named including Improvements Craig Elledge Williamson and others. April 19 session adopted county claims and reports shuffled per agenda while considering highway bridge petitions and a painting contract at the poor farm.
The board resolved to issue warrants to sheriffs in various counties to collect back taxes from parties moving out of the county. A request from the Illinois Children's Home and Aid Society for a $500 per child appropriation was rejected, but $26 per child for those taken after the date was approved. A sheriff was directed to purchase a court house flag up to 30. Mileage and per diem for members were listed for multiple officials before adjournment.
