The Clark County Board met in special session April 18 with all members present. John Thompson was elected chairman for the coming year. On April 19 the board convened at 8:30 am naming standing committees including Improvements, Finance, Printing, County Claims, Oil and Gas, Education, County Officers Reports, Poor, Telephone, Township Poor Claims, Interurban Railroads, Insurance and Rules.
The county board directs issuing warrants to sheriffs in neighboring counties to collect unpaid taxes from residents who moved out of the county and jurisdiction. The Illinois Children’s Home and Aid Society request for a $500 per child appropriation is rejected, but $26 per child is granted for those taken after this date. Mileage and per diem for members are approved. the meeting adjourns.
