Democrats gain one supervisor to make the board 11 to 4. Names include Montgomery Dolson Elliott Wabash Ennis Martinsville Hartzler Darwin Nash Casey Wells Melrose Downey Orange. Marshall township voted Democratic for clerk Carrall Clem assessor Morton Casteel highway commissioner. Rock roads passed 401 to 201. Paris voted dry. Carmi moved to wet. Shelbyville and Grayville stayed dry. Westfield elected Republican ticket.
The Business Men's Club Friday evening saw the largest attendance to date with several new members. A constitution and bylaws were adopted and multiple business propositions discussed. Good-roads sentiment grew, and Rev. W. J. Healey was appointed county delegate to the national good roads meeting in Kansas City next month. Another meeting is planned for tomorrow evening.
A special session voted 110 to 0 to enact a preferential presidential primary, effective immediately. The presidental vote will appear on a separate ballot from the regular primary, with each congressional district advisory to its delegates and the state at large advisory to its national delegates. Farmers report hog and sheep killings in the area in recent weeks, recalling a 20 year old Sullivan county panther rumor that was never found.

Little Wayne son of Mr and Mrs Frank Gelsert died last Wednesday from pneumonia at about one week old born February 9. He leaves a father and mother three brothers four sisters and many relatives. The funeral was from the home conducted by Rev I H Griesemer and interment was at Marshall cemetery.
